Hartford police told the newspaper that Wascher and two fellow students in the school’s drama program were in an on-campus apartment when the stabbing occurred shortly before 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. One of the students, a 19-year-old, was in critical condition Sunday night after suffering wounds to his chest and back, according to The Courant. The other student, who’s 21, was in serious but stable condition after suffering a puncture wound to the chest and four to the back, the newspaper reported.Wascher fled the scene and the school went on lockdown before an officer spotted him about two hours later, several hundred yards beyond the edge of campus, according to The Courant. Wascher ran into some nearby woods and surrendered soon after, the newspaper reported.He is being held in lieu of $1 million bond.Wascher is a graduate of the Coronado School of the Arts, according to The San Diego Union-Tribune.
