Lenovo is launching the Vibe K6 Power in India on Tuesday, which is tomorrow, but that is not the only phone the company is hoping to launch in the coming days. The company will also unveil a new ZUK phone within one week. Although it has been rumoured earlier, now ZUK CEO Chang Cheng has confirmed through a Weibo post in China that the phone will be called ZUK Edge and that it will launch next week. He also shared a rather cleverly disguised image of the phone. The image that has been shared by Cheng hints that the ZUK Edge will have very slim bezels, and it will have a slightly redesigned body compared to the ZUK 2, which was launched in India as Lenovo ZUK 2 Plus a while ago. The ZUK brand is owned by Lenovo. In China the brand has good recognition but in India possibly not and hence Lenovo launched the last ZUK phone here in India with the Lenovo branding. Also Read: Best phone for Rs 20,000? No, not Lenovo Z2 Plus, here are 4 phones that are betterThe ZUK Edge is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 821 processor, the same one also found inside the phones like the OnePlus 3T, which will launch in India on December 2. It will possibly have a 5.5-inch screen with FullHD display, 6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. It will also sport a 13-megapixel camera on the rear and a 8-megapixel camera on the front. It is expected to use Android Nougat, which is the latest version of Android. Although keeping in line with the Lenovo tradition, the Nougat will be modified on ZUK Edge with Lenovo’s own custom user interface.advertisementMore images of the ZUK Edge have been leaked on Chinese websites. The phone, which has been leaked in white colour, seems to be quite slim and has rounded edges. The images also show that the phone has a glossy plastic back cover (or may be it’s glass) but a metal frame. It also has a redesigned camera module and there is a USB C port clearly visible in the leaked images. The fingerprint scanner on the ZUK Edge is on the front, under the home button, which seems similar to the home button seen in the recent Moto phones, which also now belong to Lenovo. In India, if launched anytime soon, the ZUK Edge will possible go against the OnePlus 3T. At least that is what the hardware suggests. Although it is entirely possible that the ZUK phone will be priced lower compared to the OnePlus 3T, which is expected to debut at a price of around Rs 32,000 in India. The earlier ZUK phone — ZUK 2 Plus — was priced at Rs 19,999 by Lenovo for 64GB variant. The 32GB variant costs around Rs 18,000.
