That opens up a premier job in the NFL.Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley has been rumored as a potential NFL candidate throughout this season. Naturally, many have broached the idea of him possibly being a match for Green Bay.Riley is regarded as a bright offensive mind, so it seems like he would be a good fit for Aaron Rodgers. However, one NFL insider is adamant that he won’t be leaving OU.Benjamin Allbright tweeted tonight that it is “highly unlikely” that Riley leaves Norman for the NFL.You guys need to give up on the Lincoln Riley stuff, too.Highly unlikely he leaves.— Benjamin Allbright (@AllbrightNFL) December 3, 2018Of course, never say never when any coaching is approached about working at the highest level in his field. Riley may find Green Bay or a similar opportunity too good to pass up.However, there’s no rush to leave Norman. Riley has the Sooners back in the College Football Playoff for the second year in a row.He will have to replace Kyler Murray at quarterback next year, but Riley is set up to be successful for a long time at OU.
